Koreshi Chronicles - Chapter VII: The Art of Negotiation

The hostile environment seal on the longrunner’s rear hatch hissed shut and the pressure inside leveled.

“That went well.”

Benelice smiled. She loved it when Riley tried being sarcastic because he never quite managed to overcome his inherently cheery disposition.

Last night's Our Heroes (tm) engaged in a mostly failed interrogation and a mostly failed negotiation, but at least we now have a hostage we have no idea what to do with. That's gotta be worth something, right?

Koreshi Chronicles - Chapter VII : Anonymous

The Adlon in Lyonnesse is one of the finest hotels on Terra Nova, period. One could enthuse for hours over the architectural details of the lobby, the balance of light and space with mood and comfort. Tours of the art hanging in the Main Hall circulate every quarter hour. The Grand Staircase to the mezzanine has been used in so many trideos that every Badlander child would immediately recognise it in awe. Even if you couldn't afford to stay there, as indeed most people can’t, tourists visiting the UMF go out of their way and budget for the legendary tea service in the atrium.

It’s said that at one point or another everyone of import on Terra Nova comes through the Adlon.

Koreshi Chronicles - Chapter VII : Looking at the Bigger Picture

A longrunner's six independent suspension systems cushion every bump and hole in the road, minimizing discomfort and providing a smooth, steady ride. On well paved roads all this functionality is for naught. The vehicle seems underused and over-designed.

Lumbering along the highway out of the Trondheim Valley, Benelice's caravan of longrunners rolled unusually quickly. For roads such  as these, which she often travelled on her trade route, the behemoth's suspension could be locked in order to achieve higher speeds. Benelice was reflecting on this mechanical fact with inexplicable melancholy.

This week, with the return of our erstwhile boss, Okran Radsley, the plot advanced... just not necessarily in the direction Georges the GM intended. But at least we are absolutely no closer to stopping Bhakir than we were before! Yay!

Y'know, for a session in which we got a lot done, we didn't actually get that much done. But we did find Bhakir. And some wetsuits. That's gotta count for something, right?

It's time for everyone's favorite game show game: follow the inadvertent red herring! Our Heroes (tm) spend an entire session scouting out the entirely wrong location! Just because!

Koreshi Chronicles - Chapter VII: Losing the Bet

Benelice was walking on the grass in her bare feet. Technically it was frowned upon in the Alliance -- there were cute little signs with sheepish children tiptoeing around the immaculate verge -- but it was a rare luxury for a Badlander and so she indulged herself.

She saw the lights of the caravansery a short distance off. They danced on the fast-flowing surface of the Trondheim River and brought back images of the fancy party at Theresa Vendar’s she had just left. She catalogued the contacts she had made and started formulating the outline of a report for her father when her senses, sharpened by combat, alerted her to something amiss.
