Wordslingin'

Last night saw the conclusion of the comedy of errors known as "Operation Assassinate Emir Thoras." But the mission objectives were, in the end, obtained, and we didn't even get too beat up doing it. So... onwards to quotes!

[How to know where you stand with the rest of the party, part 1.]
Brock: "So it's 10 meters across. How far do you think we can toss Maia?"

[Sometimes, when complex plans fail, it's time to fall back on Plan A.]
Brock: (sighing) "All right, just shoot them."

[On the other hand, convoluted plans sometimes have their place.]
Georges: "So we're flying to an underground tunnel?"

[The jamming was a really great idea. Until we needed to communicate something ourselves.]
Georges: "I can't believe we're the victims of our own success to this degree."

[Failure to think ahead: check.]
Brock: "You know what would have been great? If we'd set up a password with our tunnel team."
Julie: "Yeah, that would have been great."

[Ariel is scary-effective with his silenced pistols.]
Josh the GM: "There's two guys..."
Ariel: "What was that? Two corpses?"

[Brock is rolling really horribly in a knife fight.]
SRID ambusher: "Is that the best you've got?"
Kain: "No, I'm lulling you into a false sense of superiority!"

[Semantics, semantics. Why does it always come back to semantics?]
Ariel: "The tunnel fighters are disposable."
Georges: "No, they're not. But they are expendable."

[Sometimes, we want things just a little *too* badly.]
Brock: "If Emir Bhravo doesn't give us the hopper, he's next on the list."

And that's it for this week. Next time: the denouement, or yet another session of massive fighting? Only time will tell!

Honestly, I thought most of those were in-character...

I find that the line is very thin in this game most of the time. I might put character names or player names, but in general it works just as well the other way round. It's mostly an arbitrary convention anyway.
